The patented magnetizable concrete is made of recycled magnetic materials (scrapped ferrite cores) as aggregate of a cement concrete. It can be processed by conventional concrete casting into any shape embedding copper coils to obtain a fully functional, highly robust and inexpensive component of any size and shape. Our magnetic design capabilities to shape the parts yield also optimum performance and/or lowest cost as compared to any other magnetic material (online app: MAGMATH). Very high compressive strength and thermal conductivity as well as very low magnetic losses and magnetostriction (acoustic noise) make this the material of choice for high power, high frequency applications such as solar/UPS inverters or wind converters. The main application, however, are transmitter coils for stationary or dynamic wireless charging, which can be fully integrated into roads for a long-term, maintenance and vandalism free charging infrastructure for electrical and autonomous vehicles.
